Be You Resources

You were always enough

Be You

The Be You Workshop is built on the same themes explored in the Be You book and at thebeyoubook.com: inherent worth, voice, authenticity, emotional wholeness, mindset, tempo, and creativity.

This experience is for women of all ages ready to return to themselves. Somewhere along the way, the world’s expectations got louder than your own voice, and you learned to quiet the parts of you that didn’t fit. We spend two days finding that voice again, through reflection, conversation, and needlework: sewing and embroidery, the same handwork generations of women before us used as both meditation, connection and expression.

Inherent Worth

Everything here starts from one fact: your worth was never something to earn. Not through your patience, your output, or how little you ask for. You were always enough.

Creativity

A creative practice that belongs only to you. Sewing and embroidery become a way to slow down, work with your hands, and make something no one else could make in quite the same way.

Voice

Reconnecting with the voice you had before the world got louder than it, and practicing what it sounds like to use it again.

The Workshop

Be You Overview

The Be You Workshop is organized around seven themes drawn from my book Be You. Each theme includes reflection, conversation, and a piece of handwork tied to what we’re exploring.

Identity and inherent worth. Where the editing of who we are starts, long before we have words for it, and why the unedited self never actually disappears.

Emotional permission. The specific feelings women are trained to hide, and what it costs to keep performing an edited version of yourself.

Anger and power. Why anger is treated as a problem in women and a strength in men, and what anger is actually telling you once you stop trying to suppress it.

Grief, fear, and shame. The emotions anger often protects, and how to meet them without judgment.

Trauma and the nervous system. How the body holds what we don’t say out loud, and simple practices for coming back into it safely.

Creativity. Returning to your hands. Sewing and embroidery are used as meditation and midfulness, connecting you to a long lineage of women who processed their lives the same way.

Showing up as who you are. The difference between the self you built for approval and the self that was there before the editing started, and what it takes to let the second one lead again.

Growth Mindset. Moving from a fixed, protective way of seeing yourself toward one that allows you to grow and change.

Who This Is For

This workshop is for women who are ready to return to themselves. Women who are ready to honor who they are, not the edited version built to keep the peace. It doesn’t matter what stage of life you’re in, or how long it’s been since you last felt fully like yourself. No sewing experience or artistic skill is required. What’s required is a willingness to sit with your own story and let it be seen.

Bring This to Your Organization

This workshop is available for community groups, organizations, and women’s circles of any size. Before any workshop begins, I work closely with the group leader to understand the women in the room and what they need most. The seven themes stay consistent. The delivery is always specific to your group.
